It's the small things that count, and the new BVK Series fly reels were designed from the ground up with relentless attention to detail in order to develop our best all-around fly reel yet. With more holes than a slice of swiss cheese, these reels are super lightweight without compromising strength... and they look cool too.

Custom built to our own specifications and strict standards, the unique design cleans house with its feature set. The radiused spool delivers increased strength and rigidity over convential spool designs, premium bearings are used for buttery smooth performance, and the super large spool diameter results in an incredibly smooth startup. In addition, most reels are assembled by screwing down through the reel foot into the frame. Well, we flipped this around and screwed up through the frame into the reel foot. You wouldn't think this would make much of a difference, but in terms of strength, believe us, it does.

You're probably wondering about the drag system, but we won't go into too much detail because we want you to be pleasantly surprised. It's a fully sealed, multi-disc system with tons of smooth, reliable adjustment that will handle the biggest of fish with ease.

Oh, and did we mention the line retrieval speeds? The super large arbour on the BVK Series boasts line retrievals from 7"/revolution on the 3/4wt to 9.75"/revolution on the 7/8wt. Why should you care, you ask? It's simple. Perhaps you're fighting a hard running fish that you need to get on the reel quickly, and the extra retrieval speed makes the difference between a fish landed or just a good story. Or maybe you're just hopping from pool to pool and the decreased time spent reeling in your line means more time actually fishing. Either way, a super large arbour makes for happier fishing, and isn't that the point?
