Temple Fork Outfitters Broken Fly Rod Service

Regardless of the cause, if you break your rod, we will replace the damaged section(s) for a service fee per section Provincial / Federal taxes from Province of residence

NOTE: We only service fly rods that were purchased in Canada. If you purchased your rod outside of Canada, please refer to the Temple Fork Outfitters USA website for service information. TFO Canada does not offer a warranty or broken rod service for TFO rod blanks or custom built rods, this service is only for factory built rods purchased in Canada.

Warranty claims originating from outside Canada on a TFO rod purchased in Canada, please contact your country’s regional TFO dealer/distributor or TFO USA as TFO Canada only handles warranties within Canada.

TFO Canada provides a replacement service to the original registered owner for the lifetime of the rod. If we no longer have the appropriate parts to service your fly rod, we will contact you with alternative options. TFO Canada reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to accept service requests on unregistered or second owner fly rods.


Service Eligibility

The following service does not apply to the TFO Bug Launcher Office Rod. All other current TFO fly rods are eligible for service. To confirm eligibility on discontinued rod models, please contact us.


If You Live In The Calgary Area

You are welcome to bring your entire damaged rod to our office to have it serviced on site (this usually takes approximately 10 minutes). The service fee per damaged section + taxes still applies to walk-in service requests. Click here for a map to our office.

For Customers In Other Parts Of Canada

To mail in your service request, please send in the entire rod to our address in Calgary. Yes you must send in the entire rod as we need to properly fit the new section(s) to your rod:

  • Please download our broken rod service form below and include it with your complete rod.

  • Description of the rod including the series name, fly rod length, line weight, and the number of pieces (e.g. NXT Series 9’0” 6wt 4pc).

  • Your return mailing address, daytime phone number, and email address.

  • A service fee per damaged section + Provincial / Federal taxes from the province of residence, shipping charges may also be extra, please see Broken rod service fees.

  • NOTE: Once we have received your rod and fit the new section(s), we will contact you by phone &/or email to finalize your rod service and get your rod on the way back to you. Every attempt will be made to contact you; however, after 180 days, rods sent to TFO for repair will be disposed of if not paid for or claimed by the owner.

Failure to include the proper return shipping information may result in delays and in additional fees. *It is not advised to send personal rod tubes, rod/reel carriers or any other personal items with your rod, we are not liable for the safe return of those items. We recommend using a carrier that provides tracking information in case of a problem. Please send your entire rod (insured) in the original rod tube you purchased with the rod or in an appropriate & secure tube to avoid any damage during shipping.
